Today the Al-Qaaem team met to continue discussions on the Al-Qaaem Project. 

• Continuation of the planninig and strategy of the fund raising day on Sunday 10th June 2012.
• Meeting with the professionals regarding the extension of the mosque, start of demolition of the wharehouses and project time scale.

Today the Al-Qaaem team met to continue discussions on the Al-Qaaem Project.

• Meeting with the Health and safety professional, to discuss all necessary requirements to comply with Health and Safety measures for the whole centre.
• Continue the discussion on  arrangements to cater for Gala dinner end of June or early July 2012.

• Meeting with the professionals to finalise certain amendments.  Al-hamdulillah with the grace of Almighty Allah swt and duas of all members the project is going forward.
• Arrangements to cater for Gala dinner end of June or early July 2012.

Today the Al-Qaaem team met to continue discussions on the Al-Qaaem Project. Points discussed:

• Kitchen facility: The ladies committee together together with the niyaz committee have been consulted regarding kitchen equipment and facilities and it is intended that the kitchen will be fully updated, of commercial standard and user friendly.
• Meeting with the professionals to finalise certain amendments.
• Fundraising team to organise Gala dinner around end of June or early July 2012.

• Letter to eon for electric disconnection at the site
• Strategic action upon PCC Letter for demolition
• Build strategy (design and build etc)

We are there after months of hard work, Peterborough City Council have been given the notice of demolition.

Inshallah the buldozers will be on site some time in April, where all old Al-Qaaem buildings will be brought to the ground.

This is start of the construction process for the Al-Qaaem project, with all your duas the project is now coming to fruition.

Today (Sunday 19th February 2012) was the Al-Qaaem 6 hour Marathon Day, where the Al-Qaaem Team covered five weekly meetings worth of work in just one day and made significant progress in numerous areas.  The Al-Qaaem Team discussions included the following:

• Lighting, Flooring, Ceilings, Carpets, Tiles
• Heating / Cooling Systems
• Sound System, Multimedia Control Room
• Existing Site Refurbishment
• CCTV, Fire Exits and Security
• Taps, Sinks and Toilets
• Kitchen and Food Transportation

Further meetings will be required to finalise details on these matters.
